KeepCalling donates $1600 for school supplies

Between August 5th – September 13th 2012, KeepCalling employees embarked on a challenging social responsibility project: “Bike or Walk to Work” and help a child go to school better equipped!

During this period, the company donated $2/km for each employee who came to work by foot and $1/km for employees who rode their bikes to work. After 6 exhausting weeks, $1600 were raised. The amount was used to buy school supplies for 41 children with economic difficulties from School No. 17 and No. 24 in Sibiu, Romania. The supplies were offered to them on the first day of the new school year and both the students and their families were happy to receive this act of kindness.

KeepCalling’s Bike to Work initiative returned this year for second edition with a new name and new rules! Bike or Walk to Work is the new name of the 2013 edition which proved to be very appreciated both by its volunteers and by its beneficiaries.

In 2012 the same program raised $200 which was used to buy school supplies for 10 children with economic difficulties from School No. 21 in Sibiu, Romania.
